New and improved design with patient involvement

Patient involvement and professional sparring are important key tools at Manigrip. We believe that the best products are developed in collaboration with those who work in the field and the patients who need them.

We have involved the patients who will use our assistive device since the initial phase of the design process. Not only because we wanted their support and acceptance, but because we needed their perspective on the product. Patient involvement was and is a way to ensure that our product is relevant to the people it is intended for.

That's why we have continuously collected feedback from our expert panel and other patients who have benefited from our product.

Design and patient involvement

Now we have recognized that some things that may not have been obvious to us were critical to them. For example, during Covid-19, we learned through our expert panel that the handle should be able to withstand hand sanitizer, as a chronic patient is much more vulnerable to diseases.

We want to ensure that new patients feel understood and welcomed. We see the importance of the first encounter with a product. It should be a good experience that gives you the courage and joy to use the product again and again.

Therefore, we have taken on board the main criticism, and the repeated question, “ where is the button?” and redesigned Wini so that the button is more visible.

World-class quality

This addition may seem minimal, but when it comes to quality and safety, we do not want to compromise, which is why this change has been in the works for a long time. We invested time in finding the perfect ink that not only met the technical requirements, but was also 100% safe to have contact with on a daily basis. That is why the ink for the button is organic ink that also meets the standards for children's toys. The new improvement therefore goes hand in hand with both the medical- and food-approved plastic that Wini is made of.

With a more visible button, we have tried to make the first-hand experience of Wini even more positive and intuitive. We can once again thank patient involvement for a sharp improvement in our product.
