Design and aids
We choose what clothes we wear in the morning, the color of our car and the pattern on our coffee cups. We do this because our things help to add joy and quality of life to everyday life. It means something to us when we can't use the inherited cutlery set or relax with the leisure interests and hobby projects we love. So why not give people with challenges in everyday life the opportunity to choose good design?
Design plays an incredibly important role in our lives – it influences our emotions, behavior and perception of the world around us. Design can not only help improve the function and efficiency of products, but beautiful things can also bring us joy and affect our mood and well-being.
Form and function
Many of the patients we have spoken to over the years have told us that their assistive devices made them feel sicker. Some have even expressed the embarrassment they experience with other types of assistive devices on the market. The function of assistive devices is of course extremely important to people living with a chronic illness. But the appearance of assistive devices, such as their shape and color, also plays an important role in defining ourselves. With our assistive device Winnie We want you to want to take your design tools with you to the café or when you travel, without having to pack a whole bag. The ergonomic handle is comfortable to hold and beautiful to look at. Wini is designed for you who don't want to compromise on good design in your everyday life.
